These terms apply to orders on starlightember.com. By placing an order you agree to them. We sell to the United States only.

Who we are

We are a small farm shop in Clay City, Indiana. Ember Harvest Company brings these seasonal goods to your door. Some items are packed by the growers and makers we work with. Listings that say “distributed by” or “supplied by” mean that.

Orders

An order is an offer to buy. We can accept, delay, or cancel if the item is gone, the ship-to place is blocked, or we cannot meet the destination’s rules. If we cancel, we refund what you paid.

If we cannot ship within the time stated on the listing (or within 30 days if no time is stated), we will email you a delay option or a full refund. We do not swap a different item or breed without your written OK.

Shipping

We ship inside the United States only. Some items cannot go to certain states or territories. The listing and checkout are the rule. If a destination needs papers we do not have, we cancel and refund.

We do not put a farm street on this site. Carrier tracking uses the ship-from address on the package, which may be the supplier.

Weather, carrier delays, and heat or cold can affect live goods, eggs, honey, garlic, and seed. We cannot control the carrier.

Returns

Food, honey, seed, planting stock, and hatching eggs are not returnable once shipped, except as the listing says (for example smashed eggs reported with photos). If we sent the wrong item, email [email protected] with photos.

Prices and taxes

Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is charged where the law requires it. We are a modest-profit shop.

What we do not claim

We do not claim medical uses for honey or any food. We do not claim organic, certified, virus-free, or a hatch or germ percent unless that exact lot’s papers say so.

Accounts and use

Do not misuse the site. Do not scrape, attack, or post unlawful content. Indiana law governs these terms, without a fight over which state’s law applies. If a court finds one sentence unusable, the rest still stands.
